Note: Lesson planning is an art and Science of planning classroom activities. Teachers have complete freedom to design, articulate, plan and execute lesson plans based on their ideas. Each teacher educators/teachers have freedom to innovate the strategies in lesson planning for betterment. Calicut University have not recommended any format for lesson planning. However it will be better to have a unified structure of lesson planning in B.Ed. colleges according to new patterns in school and SCERT source books. This is only a proposed lesson plan  format based on new changes, SCERT teachers hand book and "Kerala school curriculum General Approach 2013".
Constructivistic improvement in this format is to be always encouraged and welcomed.

Teacher Planner

According to new format the title 'Lesson plan' has changed to 'Teacher planner'. This is mainly because the new format contain learning activities, their sequence etc along with a reflection note based on the information gathered through learning activities and assessment implemented.
Teacher planner is a record of daily teaching planning. The teacher should develop the process page by carrying out the activities given in the teacher text and text book with the aim of achieving learning outcomes. However, these activities should be done in a flexible manner, adopting techniques suitable for the students of her class. The process page should contain planning that includes assessment along with learning activities. Information obtained through continuous assessment should also be included on the feedback page. A teacher planner should contain learning activities conducive for precise and meaningful concept- formation. The teacher should prepare a reflection note based on the information gathered through learning activities and assessment implemented in a week. It should be discussed in SRG/ Subject Council. Further planning notes should be made by the teacher based on these notes.

The format of a teacher planner is given below.
