What is objective based instruction?
Instructional objectives make
teaching goal oriented and purposeful. A
teacher who has clearly defined his objectives is sure about his
destination. Once the objectives are
defined, the learning is oriented towards accomplishment of these objectives
and the learning experiences and activities are planned to meet the specific
instructional objectives. Thus the
instruction is objective based.
What is scientific attitude?
Scientific attitude is defined as open mindedness, a desire
for accurate knowledge, confidence in procedure for seeking knowledge and
expectation that the solution of the problem will come through the use of
verified knowledge.
Criteria
- Intellectual honesty
- Open mindednessin receiving new ideas
- Derives intellectual; satisfaction from scientific pursuits
- Is prepared to reconsider his own judgements
What is scientific aptitude?
Scientific aptitude is the inherent ability (in the fioeld
of science) which helps in acquiring required skills and proficiency in the
field of science.

What is scientific interest?
Scientific interest implies living
and sustaining interest in the scientific aspects of the environment, in which
he lives. This is reflected in his
hobbies and leisure time activities.
How does a teacher know that his
pupils have scientific interest?
If the pupil voluntarily
- Reads scientific literature
- Collects samples of scientific material, photographs etc.
- Observes natural phenomena
